Time To Talk Black: Aims

Time To Talk Black was established in July 2018 to work on the gap in mental health provision for Black People in the UK

The association works to do this through:

  • THERAPEUTIC SERVICES: providing affordable, culturally specific counselling and groupwork for the UK Black Community

  • RESEARCH & COLLABORATION: supporting collaboration on Black Mental Health Initiatives.  Bringing together: practitioners, researchers, educators and all interested parties

  • QUALIFICATION & TRAINING: influencing the qualification & training of therapists and other mental health practitioners, irrespective of colour, to help minimise the effects of systemic racism and address unconscious bias
